Moreover America's hand in promoting and contributing to slavery doesn't need traveling back hundreds of years Just look back 2 years ago: link Open air slave markets. People sold as animals or produce. What happened there? Well, apparently "We come, we saw, he died!" <followed by laughing>. ▶ this video . That's what happened. I would argue, after "exporting our democracy" there, the labor and blood of those slaves are on our hands as well.
> total evil in men's hearts, this was only 200 years ago, not that long ago, this isnt something that happened 1000 years ago. Slavery is alive and well. Don't have to look 200 years into the past. This was just in 2017 in Libya. link > "The footage released by CNN appears to show youths from Niger and other sub-Saharan countries being sold to buyers for about $400 (£300) at undisclosed locations in Libya..." It's not at the same scale as before but the practice certainly hasn't ended. It's also important to ask what allowed it to flourish. > link > "...More than 8,000 American personnel in warships and aircraft were deployed in the area. At least 3,000 targets were struck in 14,202 strike sorties, 716 of them in Tripoli and 492 in Brega.[87] The American air offensive included flights of B-2 Stealth bombers, each bomber armed with sixteen 2000-pound bombs, flying out of and returning to their base in Missouri in the continental United States..." And here is ex Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cheerfully exclaiming "We came, we saw, he died" all laughing and giggling like it's a joke. ▶ this video
I made a mistake, but this is the problem with online comments -- brevity leads to necessary oversimplification. Gadaffi was trying to oust the type of central bank they had been forced to have in Libya. I will explain. Admittedly this is pretty far out in the realm of Wrongthink. Just look at Investopedia or an econ text book, and what they say about the question: does the Fed print money. They say no[1]. This is utterly, undeniably false. After the 2008 financial crisis the Fed's balance sheet ballooned to 4.5 trillion. How did they get that money? I can assure you that they did not (1) take out loans, or (2) produce goods or services at a profit. They electronically debit an account with money, and then go to Wall St and buy what no one else wanted to buy. What did Gadaffi do? He tried to kick out their central bank that was imposed on them by the UN, by creating a gold standard.[2] Most elite politicians are not nice people. They don't care about unjust wars, constitutional abuse or torture. They laugh like maniacs at Gadaffi's torture and death[3]. Fake News is just a useful term to disparage Wrongthink. Every government in the history of this planet has a natural tendency towards cronyism and tyranny. If you take the headlines at face value and don't take the time to actually investigate the legitimacy of the facts then you are no different than any other subject of any other government in history, willingly subjugated to their ideas of what is right and wrong. 1 - [LIN
That's just with drones, and I'd say it's a very conservative number. He also funded and armed "moderate opposition" in Syria, al quaeda associted groups (Jabhat al-Nusra and others) there, and helped topple several governments. This displaced millions and killed hundreds of thousands. Here's Hillary laughing about it: ▶ this video
Reagan funded revolutions in Eastern Europe and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Obama's State Department is giving arms and money to Islamic revolutionaries in Syria, Algeria, Tunisia, and other countries. "We came, we saw, he died!" link ▶ this video And there isn't even a geostrategic goal like turning Afghanistan against the USSR; it's just setting fire to formerly stable Muslim nations in the name of "democracy", just as Bush did.
