Gary Yourofsky's 2010 lecture at Georgia Tech arguing for veganism on ethical, health and environmental grounds. It is a long, forceful animal-rights speech.

Some commenters credit it with persuading them to go vegan, while others dismiss parts of it as pseudoscience.

> Do you spend more on food than you did as a non-vegan? I did when I'd first started out with plant-based eating, because I didn't know which foods to purchase and a lot went to waste. I had also sought out meat, cheese and dairy alternatives like Beyond Meat and Tofurky which aren't competitively priced (yet). Now that I've been vegan for over a year - and eating almost exclusively whole foods - the grocery bill for my household is drastically lower. I buy a lot of food in bulk. A 25 lb. bag of brown rice provides tens of thousands of calories to last months and costs a mere ~$60, for example. Canned legumes, frozen fruits and veggies and seasonal produce from my garden, CSA or farmers' markets are all very affordable. > What made you take up veganism? > Why do I have to give eating salmon any thought? The same reason you would give thought to killing a Golden Retriever for food. Due to indoctrinated beliefs, people think it's alright to kill certain animals for food, but not others, and when asked why, the logical inconsistencies become very apparent. See link and ▶ this video > Am I supposed to justify stomping on a cockroach too? Where does this moralizing end? Any killing is self-defense in always justified. However, if there's an opportunity to practice non-violence, why not take it?

I think that's inevitable. You just have to look at Gary Yourofsky and how he alone made 8% of Israel go vegan[0] with his popular Youtube speech[1]. [0] link [1] ▶ this video

I think Gary Yourofsky claims something similar to that. But he's pretty extreme even by vegan standards. ▶ this video Lots of psuedoscience in there.
