A short parody that removes the laugh track from The Big Bang Theory to show how unfunny the scenes are without it.

Mentioned critically, as evidence that the show's jokes are weak and lean on canned laughter.

But American comedy movies are shit nowadays, it's just a bunch of comedians and Will Ferrell doing one-liners. Might as well add pause for laughter like the Big Bang Theory. ▶ this video As for drama, I'd like to watch Sentimental Value, but I imagine my eyes will be wet in many scenes, I'd rather do that at home than in a theater.

It doesn’t work. The pauses are built into the script. It’s worse, it’s far worse. It highlights that the scripts are usually pretty bad. Classic example of a completely unfunny basic show ▶ this video

The main thing I don't like about BBT is that it's generally not funny. Look how the show holds without its laugh track: ▶ this video
