I've heard it from Laurene on several occasions, she alludes to it in this video ▶ this video (in case the link goes down: Tim Cook, Sir Jony Ive KBE, and Laurene Powell Jobs, Code 2022 Interview with Kara Swisher)
TLDR: It has nothing to do with MMS But that didn't address GP's comment. Apple states that green bubbles are pariahs because messages can't be sent to androids so it breaks the system, or something like that [BS] Iphone users think that green bubbles are pariahs because they aren't part of their exclusive group, and because green bubbles turn chat groups into rubbish, because yada yada not iphone. (spoiler alert, apple does it on purpose) link For laughs: Tim Cook telling someone he has to buy her mom an iphone (1hr 0mins 17secs) ▶ this video
Exported to PDF in case this get taken down by Apple. >But then I read the New York Times article about Laurene Jobs starting the Steve Jobs Archive. Here’s what that article said. >When Mr. Jobs returned to Apple in 1997, a dozen years after he was forced out, one of the first things he did was offer Stanford University the company’s corporate archives, said Henry Lowood, the curator of Stanford libraries’ History of Science and Technologies Collections. “Stanford had a signed document from Apple’s legal department within 24 hours, allowing it to transport some 800 boxes from the company’s campus to the university.” This story wasn't made up by her. It was reported, may be misreporting, may be Apple's Submarine PR for years. And she kept the story going. ( So to speak ) And then this interview [1] with Jony, Tim Cook and Laurene Jobs. I guess people can make up their own mind after watching the interview. But if anything a lot of what was being said by Tim Cook and Laurene Jobs was repeating what Steve had said publicly . Intentionally or not. [1] ▶ this video
Tim Cook was asked about advertising and privacy a couple weeks ago. Here's his answer. Take from it what you will. "Digital advertising is not a bad thing. We've never said digital advertising is a bad thing. What is not good is vacuuming up people's data when they're not doing so on an informed basis. That's what is bad. And so we try to put the user in the driver seat there to own the data." ▶ this video
Watching the code interview with Jonny Ive, the part where Kara asks him about UI in cars, it feels like Apple is working on a car. ▶ this video
