Fun read, thx! I'd also recommend more about RCT: "Interview with RollerCoaster Tycoon's Creator, Chris Sawyer (2024)" link "Rollercoaster Tycoon (Or, MicroProse's Last Hurrah)" link "RollerCoaster Tycoon at 25: 'It's mind-blowing how it inspired me'" link "RollerCoaster Tycoon was the last of its kind [video]" link "The Story of RollerCoaster Tycoon" ▶ this video
Folks may also like the noclip documentary on RollerCoaster Tycoon: ▶ this video . It goes into more detail, particularly about what happened after RCT2, and has some perspectives from people in the OpenRCT2 community.
Noclip did a documentary[1] on RCT and successor games, and tried to interview Chris. The response passed through his representative is stated in the 2nd to last segment (The Legacy of RCT at 30m55) in the video. [1] ▶ this video
