Todd Becker's Ancestral Health Symposium talk arguing that myopia is driven by near-work and can be reversed, covering the biology and epidemiology and experimental evidence for reversal by using weaker lenses.
HN commenters credit it as a life-changing talk, with some reporting reduced prescriptions after following the method.

The TLDR is that a lot of people have very high myopia that causes severe eyeball elongation, which then causes retinal damage/detachment, which sadly could progress into blindness.. I myself was -5.75 and -6.25 with some non-negligible cylinders. I experienced discomfort when looking at my phone phone and reading book with my glasses on. I General check up said that my eyeball pressure and all were normal, but I know the discomfort is nothing good and can be quite serious. I read up online and found out that myopia could cause eyeball elongation, which could cause discomfort and ultimately could cause retinal damage/detachment. The discomfort I was experiencing was probably due to my elongated eyeball. I prayed and began looking for way to work around my myopic eyes without having to get yet another thicker glasses... And I'm super thankful to have found out about this life-changing video by Todd Becker on how to reverse myopia: ▶ this video . The TLDR is that eyeball elongation (and hence myopic eyes) can be reversed in a way very similar to how strength training is conducted (hormesis). You simply need to keep wearing reduced prescription and do eye-focus exercises regularly. It sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? I was scared too at first, and when I went to a glasses store to get a lower prescription glasses, the store attendant warned me too. But I went ahead anyway. My latest eyes exam before the attempt (back in August 2021) was -6.75 and -6.5 with -0.25 and -0.5 cyls.
▶ this video Are you aware of Todd Becker's method to reduce myopia? I've been doing it in the past 1 year and am happy to report that I've had 1.5 reduction in my glasses prescription (from 6.75). There's a PDF from a different person with a concrete guide on how much to reduce. I can share it if you're interested, feel free to email me at denny at nusantara-cloud.com :)
Important article particularly for us folks who sit in front of Computers for most of our waking hours. Key points: he says that working on our vision has the power to transform how we think, feel and function. In fact, our vision is so fundamental to our health and wellbeing, Appelbaum describes it as “the new microbiome”. “But vision is so much more complex. It’s how our brain processes, organises and stores the information coming through the eyes.” He adds: “Vision is a direct reflection of brain function.” We have to focus on the Whole Organism rather than just the Vision part i.e. stop overloading the Visual System, sync our Circadian Rhythms with the day/night diurnal cycle and understand/use Visual Technology (eg. Nits) properly. AFAIK, the way LASIK works is by cutting down part of the lens, which essentially is to reshape the eye to compensate for the elongated eye ball. Given it's an invasive surgery, personally I'm not too comfortable. A friend of mine also shared that his girlfriend can't no longer drive at night after having a LASIK surgery due to the glare and halo effect. A year ago I came across Todd Becker's method to cure myopia here from HN as well. In case interested to check it out: ▶ this video There's also a PDF from a different guy with some practical guide. There is a sceptical comment from the audience at 36:50 [1]. Maybe someone here has the knowledge to comment about that? Is it true what the person says - that the actual problems with the eyes won't be fixed, you would just get better quality vision through some other way doing this? [1]: ▶ this video
